AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

The Toronto Blue Jays have officially signed George Springer to a 6-year, $150-million deal. But, I assume you already knew that!

I cannot believe that Springer is now a Blue Jays. George Springer has been one of my favourite baseball players to watch over the last few years, and I cannot wait to see him rocking our uniform while playing at his super-star level. I know many people have tainted images of him because of his involvement in the Houston “Astrics” cheating scandal, but he is one of the only players that came out and apologized right away. He is also very involved in several charities dedicated to helping children with stuttering problems, as Springer deals with his own stuttering problems.

Of course, the numbers talk for themselves. On top of being a 3x MLB All-Star, 2x Silver Slugger recipient, and a World Series MVP, Springer has INSANE numbers when playing in Toronto. In 15 career games at the Rogers Centre, Springer has slashed .358/.453/.604 with seven extra-base hits and 10 RBIs. He has consistently hit for average and power over his career, sporting a .292 average with 39 homers in 2019.

I am insanely excited to watch Springer become a legend in Toronto, and I cannot wait to watch him hoist the World Series trophy up over his head when the Blue Jays win it all sometime within the next six-years.
