Toronto Blue Jays all-stars Josh Donaldson and Troy Tulowitzki will be rejoining the team on Friday to start off their longest home-stand so far this season.
Donaldson and Tulowitzki have been on the D.L. for over a month combined, but the Jays have been doing better without them, than when they started the season with them. Overall, the bench players have been doing a tremendous job trying to fill the void of having two of the biggest Jays super sluggers on the roster. John Gibbons seems to agree with me as well, “These other guys have filled in and done a good job, but every team’s built a certain way,” Gibbons said. “You have your core guys. If you’re going to do anything, you’re going to need those guys. I think everybody will be glad to see them.”
Donaldson has not been 100% healthy since the middle of the 2016 season, while Tulowitzki has not been healthy since the beginning of the season.
Coincidently, Donaldson and Tulowitzki will be coming back right in time to play the Texas Rangers… this series should be really interesting!
